School holidays are here…again. Are you going off on a road trip? My little ones are always trying to think of new ways to get there faster, and Mom’s are always trying to think of new games to keep everyone occupied especially when the ipads have died and movies are off!
We can’t always rely on the electric baby sitter so here are a couple of games we enjoy playing…
“I am going on holiday and in my suitcase I have packed…” Each member of the family takes it in turns and has to repeat what the others have said. It’s a great game of memory recall, and its certainly challenging playing with little minds which seem to capture everything even when their imaginations go wild!
We love this game when you get stuck in traffic jams –and lets be honest there’s no situation more likely to make the kids restless.
It’s simple – everyone chooses a window and takes a quick peek at the person in the car nearest to them. Then it’s up to you to decide what sort of person they are.
Choose a name, give them a voice, pick a job – and if you’ve got time decide where you think they’ve been or what their favourite meal is.
And for extra fun make the whole game a secret spy mission. Tell your kids that the aim is not to be seen looking by their chosen target. If they do their turn is over.
Safe and fun travels!
